Ready for some quick, easy and delicious plant-based smoothie recipes? These are just perfect for the Vitamix. Why a Vitamix?
Well, in my last post, Vitamix Pro 750 Review, I told you all about this kitchen appliance and why it’s one of my favorites. Let me just give you a short and sweet version.
In fact, let me do it in a poem. Then you can see my true brilliance.
Roses are red
Violets are blue
A Vitamix just does everything better and it’s worth the money even though I know it’s a lot of money, but you won’t regret it.
I know, I know. I told you it would be brilliant.
Anyway, as I mentioned in my Vitamix review, a food processor is an amazing tool, but you can’t make smoothies in it. A Magic Bullet is a fantastic tool, but you can only make small amounts of things in it. A regular blender is a great tool, but it doesn’t make everything smooth.
A Vitamix blends the [insert favorite swear word here] out of stuff. It just does it better.
With that said, let’s get into these amazing plant-based smoothie recipes that I gathered up from Pinterest. Of course, you don’t need a Vitamix to make these smoothies. You can use what you already have.
Plant-Based Smoothie Recipe #1 – Creamy Peach
What I love about this smoothie is that it’s only three ingredients. But not only that, but it’s basically the three best ingredients that you can put together in a smoothie.
It’s just:
- Peaches
- Mango
- Almond milk
I don’t know about you, but when I think of peaches and mango together, I think of the most delicious, refreshing smoothie ever. These are two fruits that just belong together.
Plant-Based Smoothie Recipe #2 – Vanilla Cashew Shake
Who doesn’t love a creamy, smooth vanilla shake? And this one is completely plant-based and vegan because it uses cashews for the creamy part instead of milk.
It also uses a little maple syrup, a banana for sweetness and bulk and vanilla extract, of course!
You can devour this plant-based smoothie (shake) and not even feel guilty about it!
Plant-Based Smoothie Recipe #3 – Pineapple Orange
Remember when I said above that peaches and mango are the most perfect combination of fruits? Well, I wasn’t lying. But I also think pineapple and orange is the most perfect combination of fruits.
Can’t they both be perfect?
Plantbasedandbroke.com put together this incredibly refreshing and satisfying plant-based smoothie recipe and I can’t wait to make it.
This is a five-ingredient smoothie (and that includes water and ice cubes) that can be thrown together in no time. I can imagine sipping this outside in the warm summer sun. Ahhhh.
Plant-Based Smoothie Recipe #4 – Coconut Mango Banana
Mango is back, baby! This time it’s with the other most perfect smoothie ingredient – coconut! (Hm, I actually think coconut is perfect in ANY ingredient.)
One of the best things about making plant-based smoothie recipes is that they are so easy to put together. They take minimal ingredients and just a few seconds of whirring up in the blender.
This creamy coconut mango banana smoothie is no different. It’s only 7 ingredients, most of which you will probably already have on hand. There is one ingredient you may not have, and it’s for vanilla bean powder.
I don’t think I’ve seen this in any of my regular stores, but if you can’t find it, there’s always good ol’ Amazon, or perhaps you can replace it with a little vanilla extract instead. (I’m not the recipe creator, so you might have to talk to Amber about that one!)
Plant-Based Smoothie Recipe #5 – Tropical Avocado
I think it’s kind of funny. In the post for this recipe, Susie of milehighdreamers.com admits to hating avocados. She said she’s tried them in all different ways and the only way that she’s discovered that she likes them is in this smoothie.
I’m the opposite.
I absolutely love avocados in all sorts of ways.
But I don’t like them in smoothies.
However, that doesn’t mean you won’t! I bet most people are just like Susie and enjoy them in a smoothie. And why not? They make the smoothie rich, luxurious and creamy.
And this one includes pineapple, so there ya go. Pineapple trumps everything!
Plant-Based Smoothie Recipe #6 – Cacao Smoothie
When I think of cacao, I think of healthy chocolate. Cocoa and Cacao are almost the same thing, so that makes sense. It’s not just that the letters in the words are a little mixed up, but cocoa is heated up and processed. Cacao is raw and cold-pressed.
That basically means that cacao keeps a lot of its beneficial antioxidants. If you don’t have cacao on hand, you can either grab some from Amazon, or replace with cocoa powder instead.
What’s particularly great about this cacao smoothie is the secret ingredient that somehow goes so great with chocolate. Can you guess what it is? Can you?
OK fine. I’ll just tell you.
It’s sweet potato.
You’ll just have to trust me on that one. Or, better yet, try this smoothie and see for yourself!
Plant-Based Smoothie Recipe #7 – Very Cherry Banana
This Very Cherry Banana smoothie is Medical Medium compliant, according to Karielyn, the creator of this recipe. There are only 5 ingredients, including one super-secret one that you probably would never guess.
I know when I saw it, I was like, “Say whaaaa…?”
But, it does make sense when you think about it.
If you think I’m giving away that secret, think again! You’ll have to read the recipe and see for yourself.
Conclusion
There you have it! 7 nutrient-dense, flavor-enhanced, power-packed smoothies. We had mangoes. We had cherries. We had peaches, avocados, coconut, cacao, and of course, bananas.
We even had sweet potatoes.
And we had one super secret ingredient. (Did you find it yet?)
The only thing that would make these plant-based smoothie recipes better is blending them up in a Vitamix. I’m serious. I think every one of the recipe creators mentioned the damn thing. It’s not just me. They’re just the best!
Here’s my Vitamix Pro 750 Review again in case you missed it.
These recipes should keep you busy for a while, but I’ll be back to round up more soon!
