Probiotics Reviews: Mary Ruth’s Daily Liquid Probiotic

Probiotics is such a buzz word in the nutrition industry now that it can be really confusing sorting out what’s good and what’s not. I know I looked at probiotics reviews myself trying to figure out what could actually help my digestive issues.

After trying some different probiotics, I recently tried out Mary Ruth’s Daily Liquid Probiotic and decided to review it for you. By the end of this review, my goal is for you to know whether or not this probiotic is right for you.

How Mary Ruth’s Daily Liquid Probiotic Works

Mary Ruth’s Daily Liquid Probiotic comes in a glass bottle and has a dropper. Kids over 12 and adults can take 4 droppers a day of the probiotic. That sounds like a lot, but the dropper only gets about 1/2 full. You can start with less until you see how your stomach reacts to it, and then gradually increase to 4 per day.

This probiotic is USDA certified organic, 100% raw, 100% vegan, Paleo, keto-friendly, gluten-free, corn-free, soy-free and nut-free. It’s sourced from three different types of grasses. It has very little flavor, except a slightly grassy flavor, according to the product page on Amazon. (I’ll give you my thoughts on this in a minute.)

Mary Ruth’s probiotic is 3rd party certified and verified by 3 separate independent labs. It has a long shelf life and doesn’t need to be refrigerated. Sounds good, right? Well, let me tell you my thoughts on it.

My Thoughts on Mary Ruth’s Daily Liquid Probiotic

I first read about Mary Ruth’s Probiotic from the Medical Medium. I was poking around on his website, trying to find ways to improve my gut health when I stumbled on his recommended product page. This probiotic was included. I was skeptical at first.

I listened to a Rich Roll podcast with Dr. Rhonda Patrick some time ago, and in that podcast, she recommended a probiotic called VSL 3. VSL 3 is a pretty pricey probiotic that gets 4-star reviews on Amazon. I had a lot of hope when I tried this one. I gave it a few tries, but it just didn’t seem to help.

So was Mary Ruth’s Probiotic going to be the same? Was I going to be led down the same path of disappointment and wasted money?

The first thing I noticed when I tried it is that it had no taste. It tasted just like water! Remember how I said above that it has a slightly grassy taste? I really don’t taste anything. It’s just like drinking water.

In fact, I woke up in the middle of the night one day.

My eyes popped open. “Oh my gosh.”, I thought. “Mary Ruth’s Probiotics is a trick. It’s a joke. It’s JUST water.”

I literally had this thought in the middle of the night. I panicked and felt that I had been duped! lol

I woke up the next morning and came to my senses.

I used up my first bottle. I kind of thought it wasn’t helping. But then I realized that my stomach felt better than in had in years. After I stopped using this probiotic for a while, my stomach issues starting coming back. I recently purchased another bottle because it really did seem to make a big difference.

What Do Others Think About This Probiotic?

There are over 400 reviews on Amazon and this probiotic has an amazing 4.6 out of 5 stars! It seems like it’s working for others! Here are a few things that customers said.

  • “If I could give this the highest rating of anything I’ve ever purchased…It would be in the top three.”
  • “This has surpassed my expectations!”
  • “My stomach is much less bloated.”
  • I feel so much better taking your products!”

Many of the customers said their gas and bloating decreased, they were able to sleep better, and someone even said they generally had a better outlook on life.

Pros & Cons

As with anything in life, there are pros and cons to using Mary Ruth’s Liquid Probiotic. Let’s go over some of those now.

Pros:

  • USDA certified organic
  • Vegan, Keto, and Paleo-friendly
  • Made from grasses, therefore completely plant-based
  • No taste
  • No odor
  • Liquid form that’s easy to swallow
  • Can add to drinks, smoothies or take on its own
  • No refrigeration required
  • Reduces gas and bloating

Cons:

  • Pricey (although Amazon sometimes has a coupon that can be used)
  • Some customers said it didn’t work for them
  • One customer said it gave them a migraine

Conclusion

After reading many probiotics reviews myself, I know how confusing it can be to decide if any of these products work or not.

For me, when I used Mary Ruth’s Organic Probiotic, my stomach felt much, much better. Like so many of the other reviewers, I had less bloating and it seemed like I could eat and feel normal! (Which hasn’t happened in YEARS.)

When I stopped taking this probiotic, my stomach issues came back. My conclusion is that this is a great probiotic and it’s NOT just water! lol

Mary Ruth's Daily Liquid Probiotic

I would recommend giving it a try if you’re looking into different probiotics. I can’t guarantee that it will work as well for you as it did for me, but you will never know unless you give it a try!

My recommended place to get Mary Ruth’s Daily Liquid Probiotic is from Amazon. Not only do they offer Free 2-day shipping with Prime, but they also sometimes have a coupon. For instance, on this last purchase, I was able to clip a $5 coupon. I paid under $40 with my coupon!

Most good probiotics are in the $50 and up range, so this was a great deal. Even without the coupon, this probiotic is still under $50 and a great bargain for all of its benefits.

  2. Thank you fir this review! I found this because I googled, “why does Mary Ruth’s probiotics taste like water?”
I thought maybe I got scammed by someone putting water into this bottle and sealing it up. LOL!
I hope it works as well as others are saying. I’m recovering from two rounds of antibiotics, so I was looking for a good probiotic.
